Never theorize before you have data. Invariably, you end up twisting facts to suit theories, instead of theories to suit facts.
The Inner Description;;
Personality;; Jules is an ambitious, driven and determined young woman. Spending time with horses since pretty much her birth, she looks like a natural. Combine that with with her slightly reckless and courageous nature and her hang for adventure, and you got yourself a potentially successful amazon.
Bad situations (on horseback) are her kind of thing. She performs well under stress, and if troubles arise, she's the kind of woman that deals with it first, and after that has to find a lonely place to 'collapse' and let go of possible fears or other emotions she put aside to deal with the situation. On the other hand, she can get cross over little details that can endanger a horse. Jojo is a bit of a contradiction after all. All in all she's a good friend to have at your side in good and bad times, but don't underestimate her, 'cause she does know how to deal with trouble. She has a certain calm presence to her, something about her that just exudes warmth and ease. Her way of moving is (generally) athletic and supple, unless she happened to have had a rough ride, which often results in a less-than-smooth way of moving, thanks to aching muscles.
Given her upbringing she is rather pragmatic. She grew up a farm girl, and as such is much less 'faint-hearted' than city-girls. Mice, rats, horse manure, all of it is no problem to her. She prefers to stay busy rather than having idle hands and chit-chatting - though easy to get along with, small talk is not something Jules excels in. Her calm and gentle demeanor ease any tension, though: both of human and animal nature. In many ways, she prefers the company of four-footed companions.
However, there's a soft albeit stern side to her that's eager to help others - although patience isn't really her strongest suit. Her passion generally helps her, though.
Once you get to know her, Jojo is a lot more... Active. Bordering on hyper, even - and even if the girl likes coffee and/or energy drink, watch out. Jojo on a sugar high is borderline terror; all bouncy, energetic and bursting with ideas. Her nickname has an origin, after all.

The Outer Description;;
Physical Description;;
Jules stands at 5'5", weighing around 125 lbs. She's not extraordinary or gorgeous by any standards, but she sure is (very) pretty, in a somewhat rural way. Her long honeyblonde hair is generally worn loose or in a (loose) ponytail, only given attention to on special occasions. Her big eyes are a bright blue color that can cloud over into a dark grey-ish blue when she's feeling strong emotions like fear or anger. She's slender, the little 'extra' weight she is carrying consisting mainly of wiry muscles exercised in years of working around a farm. Her normally fair complexion hasn't been seen in a while, hidden underneath a healthy suntan.
Her clothes are generally jeans, a (tank) top and some jacket or cardigan: not very stylish, but certainly practical and comfortable. She has been known to clean up nicely if she pays attention to it, though, she just doesn't do it too often. She has a tendency to indulge a little when it comes to jewelry, but that's more for the benefit of having something to fiddle with rather than actual vanity. Even so, half the time she can be found in (slightly disheveled) horse riding attire.
Scars;; Julietta has the standard scars of childhood; knees skinned once too often, a thin line underneath her chin where she fell on a pebble. There are a few more serious scars, though. The most obvious one results from a slight 'accident' - her horse spooked and dumped her in the barbed wire. Most of the cuts healed on its own and without leaving scars; one was a few inches long and rather deep and had to be stitched - the scar of which can still be found on the back of her left thigh. Another one from that fall also resulted in a scar, which was creatively covered up with a tattoo on her lower back. Beyond that there is one where she pretty much had a collision with a (hot) iron; a small triangular burn scar on the inside of her left forearm. Until this day she still doesn't know how she managed to get it there.
Piercing's and Tattoos;;
-- This one on her lower back
-- A small cat on the inside of her left ankle
-- A horse head high on her right arm
-- Jules has had her ears pierced for earrings
Making all these grand assumptions based on such tiny details...
The Past is the Past;;
Medical History;;
-- The 'standard' childhood problems, such as the flu and skinned knees
-- The 'standard injuries' for active horse riders, such as aching muscles and bruises all over
-- Burned herself against an iron when she was nine
-- Ended up on
-- Broken left wrist and collarbone, dislocated left shoulder in a bad 'crash' during a cross country competition when she was sixteen
Criminal History;; Jules has never been caught on the wrong side of the law (and, frankly, never really spent time on the wrong side of the law other than the occasional driving of a car as a minor, but mainly going from one part to another part of their land)
The Life Story;;
Born on a small breeding/training farm specialized in British and Irish breeds (thoroughbreds, hunter/draught horses, several pony brees), it was only natural that young Jules ended up as a horse lover. Her youth was fairly uneventful - she did okay at school, always forgot her homework in favor of helping out on the farm, which had other than horses also a few sheep, a small herd of cattle, and a whole lot of chicken. The only 'unusual' part of her home life were her parents - or rather, her parent. Her father and mother divorced when she was five, but for her and her older sister they decided to keep living rather close to each other. In fact, it was a little over six miles from one house to the other. Jules and her older sister remained with her mother and grandfather. Even as a young girl she was already a tad bit reckless, having a special penchant for cross country. Her motherthrilled with the prospect of having a good rider in the family again coddled her in that aspect and made sure there always were good ponies around, and an experienced person to help her - her grandfather. A former professional eventing rider, he knew the tricks of the trade even after so many years of retirement.
From her teenage years onward Jules started to dominate the competitions in which she started, as soon as she was allowed starting to use the horses her parents bred and trained. However, she didn't start that often. She enjoyed aimlessly wandering about over their farm far more than the stressful competitions, despite their results. It did mean that she had a good bond with her horses; bad when they had to be sold, but good when she did something with them. It was in those teenage years, after she managed to not only win a regional competition but also her first year in middle school that she was presented with a gift: a young Welsh Cob filly.
Brigantia, as she dubbed the foal, was her incentive for a step forward in her horse-riding career. While the filly grew up in the pasture, Jules started to help in earnest on the ranch, especially with the training of young horses, so that when Mai was old enough, Jules could be there when she was broken in. And that was exactly what happened. Ever since she and the Cob mare were inseparable, on occasion the smart cob even breaking out if she heard Jules around. Meanwhile Jules semi-succesfully juggled riding horses, competing in the weekends and school. With her typical aplomb and bad sense of timing, she managed to fall off Bree, during a trail ride, which end up with Jules going to the hospital thanks to some cuts and gashes due to the barbed wire that had been her landing spot. All in all, things went well.
Until the year she went to high school. Oh, school still went fine, and her outings to the competitions too. However, one of their new stallions was, frankly said, more problems than he was worth, as the Aveline's found out. One particular bad thunderstorm resulted in the horse going absolutely crazy in his stall and, Elisabeth being the kind and concerned soul she was, went in to calm him. It ended in an absolute chaos - the horse was beyond calming down and pretty much squashed Ellie between his body and the wall. Jules witnessed it, but didn't have time to react, to do anything at all but gasp.
The accident brought on some changes - the stallion was sold, the farm 'downsized' so the three Aveline's that were left could handle it - Richard, her grandfather, Victoria, her sister, and Jules herself. Her grades slipped but she kept them just good enough. Competitions, even if her star had been rising slowly but steadily, were out of the picture and she instead focused all her attention on horses and how to fix problems, until her grandfather 'intervened'. The camping trip had been his idea - sending both girls out in the bush with a horse and their father. It worked brilliantly. Jules found her inner peace back, and her grades went up again. It was about that time that her father and grandfather 'conspired' and found the school in Tuscany, rather close to where her grandmother had come from so long ago. When presented with the choice, and seeing that they allowed 'personal animals' to come along, the choice was not that hard. Jules decided to give it a go, quite eager to see some other parts of the world beyond Alberta, Canada.
He's just as brilliant as you are. And infinitely more devious.
The Role Player;;
Your Name;; Kiyiya
Age;; 20
Anything else we need to know;; Err... Watch out for Jules and her Cob? xD
Or, or, the fact that you experiment on my dog?
The Pets;;
X
Name;; Naria
Age;; 4
Breed;; Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever
Personality;; Naria is a sweet, if intense dog; her main focus is Jules, secondary comes everything alive in the neighborhood. She loves to run around and play, but in reality is pretty well trained and obedient, as long as she gets her play-time. Other animals are no problem at all, as long as they aren't overtly dominant.
History;; Naria was bred by friends of the Aveline's and sold to them for a sweet price when Jules fell in love with the dog. Ever since then, Nari was where Jules was, so much so that she basically spent every night in front of Jules' door and every trail ride included Nari showing up somewhere out of the blue. When the decision was made that Jules would go to Tuscany, it was no hard call to say Naria would go too.
Owner;; Jules Aveline
